Glennoo received the first batch of day old red leg Partridge chicks last week, great to have the sheds up and going again. Unbelievable how quick the rearing season starts again. Spring Grouse counts took place on the hill, numbers again seem to be static, just holding their own. No controlled burning took place this season but as always there was a few malicious fires but not too much damage as yet. Gritting station have all been filled and ongoing predator control been carried out. Hoping for good weather and a successful hatching season for the most gracious of Irish game bird.
